Divorce of Lawino

A play based on Okot p’Bitek’s poems, Song of Lawino and Song of Ocol, it dramatizes a clash of divergent aspirations within a marriage. The marriage metaphor helps to bring home the import of culture dislocation that appears to be be ravaging Africa and Africans. Laced with humour, dance and music, the play takes the audience on journey self reflection and questions of identity crisis.
