The Lagos International Theatre Festival (LITF) will debut from 15th–17th November 2024, offering a world-class platform that unites actors, directors, playwrights, and filmmakers from across the globe. Organised by Bolanle Austen-Peters in partnership with the Lagos State Government, the festival aims to foster a thriving creative community, showcase African storytelling, and promote excellence and sustainability in the arts.
The festival will take place across four major Lagos venues—National Theatre (Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts), Terra Kulture, Muson Centre, and John Randle Centre—and will feature musicals, skits, repertory theatre, and diverse cultural performances.
Supported by sponsors such as First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Dorman Long Engineering, Amstel Malta, and others, LITF 2024 will also include workshops, masterclasses, and panel discussions, providing learning opportunities for aspiring artists. Its advisory and governing boards feature respected cultural leaders, ensuring the festival’s artistic depth and direction.
Beyond entertainment, LITF 2024 is expected to contribute significantly to Lagos’s economy by boosting tourism, creating jobs, and strengthening Nigeria’s position in the global creative industry.
